Course Description

This program explores several cautionary tales of bribery, corruption and other moral weaknesses in search of a broader understanding and comprehension of why otherwise reasonable people do such incredibly stupid things.

The course uses as a departure point both the absurdity of an entire town succumbing to greed and corruption – as hilariously recounted in The Government Inspector – as well as true-life tales of greed and woe pulled from government reports, case law and headline newsmakers such as Bill Clinton, Elliott Spitzer and Tour de France Bicyclist Manuel Beltran.  Is there something in our culture that makes corruption inevitable?  Register for this CLE and get answers to this and other tantalizing questions.

Accompanying the re-enactments, an illustrious panel of experts, Judge Jack Nordby, Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher and moderator John Gordon, esq. provide perspectives, insight, and practical tips in an effort to explain the behavior of the parties involved.
